If i keep re-applying my sunless tanner,will my tan darken?

I have jergens natural glow which is a gradual self Tanner. I didn't buy the "fast" formula. If I were to reapply the lotion say ever few hours would it have the same darkness as if I had used it once a day for several days? I'm new to sunless tanning,please help out:)
