What Could I have Done Differently?

My Guinea Pig sow died Saturday from childbirth. I'm not sure exactly how old she was, but my guess is 7 months or so. She had two still born pups on Friday night at 9:30 pm- they were obviously under-developed because they had no hair, fused eyelids and ear buds that were not fully formed. After she had them, I removed them from the cage to let her rest...but I saw no blood, placenta or cords of any kind. The next day she was lethargic and obviously in pain. I noticed some bloody discharge in her cage. I wrapped her in a towel and put a hot compress on her to try to induce the discharge of the placenta and rubbed her belly gently. She seemed septic already and was shivering, and I though of giving her infants tylenol susp.-but I didn't want to give her anything that could damage her liver. My only thought was if the placenta didn't come out, or another pup was in there...she would die of sepsis. So, I put gentle pressure on her belly right above her vagina and held onto the cord coming out of her, but didn't tug or pull...yet she died on my lap after about a minute of trying at around 4pm, less than 24 hours after giving birth. I find it hard to believe she was that septic already. Was it me pulling the cord? Maybe the babies were dead for awhile and she was septic from that to begin with? I have no experience with this and her widow will remain alone because I DO NOT want to deal with this again. Does anyone have any input? Is this common?

I think the way Qualifying in F1 is run could be improved. Have any of you seen top gear? They run the Power Laps with the car starting from a standstill, and running one glory lap. I think that F1 Qualifying should be run like this. It would eliminate the problem of running into traffic on the circuit, and it wouldn't ruin the tires. She has lived in an orphanage for two years, has had multiple caretakers and has learned to be charming to get what she wants from whatever adult is in front of her. It's how she's survived. Don't let other people feed, comfort, bathe, or provide for any of her other major needs except for you and your husband. you didn't get tan because you're using a "self tanner" not meant for tanning beds or the sun . for the tanning bed you'd use a bronzer. if you are pale no activator you will burnnn. and that self tanner probably has sunscreen in it so you're blocking the sun rays. to get no streaks don't put it on like an ordinary lotion put it on using the same motion for ever inch of your body you put it on and make sure its on evenly. rub it on upwards not circular motions.

Yes! Tan extenders do work for spray tans. Just make sure you use it the day after and after you have taken a shower. I've found that makes it work better. And if you have the time you should shower and exfoliate really well before getting your spray tan done to really open up your pores to take the tan in.

It matters how dark of a tan you want. With L'Oreal, it will give you the appearance like you just came back from the beach with baby-soft skin. With Olay, it moisturizes more than L'Oreal, and the tan will appear gradually as you use it everyday and it will give you a subtle tan. I wouldn't used Neutrogena though, because with gradual tanners you have to apply the lotion evenly.

Sore muscles, please help?

I've been working out at the gym rigorously for the last few days. However i wasn't feeling like I was gaining any progress because I only experienced little soreness afterwards. Yesterday I decided to do dumbell lunges. I did about two laps with ten pound weights. I was sore afterwards, but today I'm twice as sore. I tried to work out again today but I couldn't. I could hardly walk. Usually my thighs have a lot of cellulite but today i have purple pigments under my skin. Its weird and im in so much pain. Please help.

The dealership then provided us with a rental, but than began to monitor our debit card. We changed the card as the dealership was to cover the cost of the rental. Now the body shop is holding our car hostage. It is June 5th. We want our car back. The accident was our fault, so why do we have to pay anything?

Should I buy a chihuahua puppy for my 12 year old daughter?

My daughter wants a chihuahua because the are loving companions to play and snuggle with. She understands all that is involved with caring for this breeder in great detail. She has researched heaps about the breed on the internet and has ordered heaps of books about dog care and training from the library.She is not involved in any school activities,does not go out with friends so she has heaps of free time to care for a dog she is willing to spend all her free time with it daily and let it sleep in her lap while she does homework. Getting over being angry? Money issues with family? Am I wrong in this?

I have a sister that is like that. Long story short we haven't spoken to or seen each other in almost 2 years. Yes I miss having her in my life but at the same time I can't trust her. She knows that she can come back into my life when ever she wants to but I have to be able to trust her before I can allow her back in. Some time people don't see what they are doing hurts people and unfortunately it takes a lot for them to step back and see it. As far as the money she owes you goes try to forget about. You probably will never see it again. One thing I've learned is don't ever give any one any money unless you can afford to never see it again that way you wont get mad over money so much. Part of the problem is you have to tell her no I'm not giving you any more money. That's what happened to my sister and me. Yes we don't talk to each other any more but she isn't taking advantage of me and using me as a doormat any more. Just tell her you can't keep giving her money and leave it at that. What happens from that point on is on her not you. That's what I had to do.

Sunless tanning lotion?

The major difference I find is that a self tanner does not give you the reddish natural tint of a suntan. It gives you more of a coppery bronze color that you're referring to. Which self-tanner did you use? Some are pre-tinted with a bronzer for immediate color. I have always had luck with self-tanners from Clarins, but nothing can really duplicate the dark complexion you will get from UV rays.

I think the way Qualifying in F1 is run could be improved. Have any of you seen top gear? They run the Power Laps with the car starting from a standstill, and running one glory lap. I think that F1 Qualifying should be run like this. It would eliminate the problem of running into traffic on the circuit, and it wouldn't ruin the tires. I think one hot lap would reward driving skill, as one could not make any mistakes. It would also reward the driver's talent at starting the car, which i think is not used very often. How do i make my skin look natural and flawless?

A couple of days ago i was being stupid and applied sunless self tanner on my body, now i look like a blotchy mess. Now i try to apply different make up materials on my face to match my new skin tone but i cant find anything that matches. Looking For a Great Sunless Tanning Lotion?

My skin tone is more on the fair side with a little bit of a yellow undertone, so it's been tough for me to find lotions that aren't orange on me or streaky. I'm looking for something that's natural with a bronze-colored glow that goes on evenly/smoothly. Other problem I've experienced are lotions that were costly, but didn't show much of a difference after a week of use, so I do want something that will take my skin to a noticeably darker shade. I'm looking for more of a Brazilian/Victoria's Secret model-esque color-that gorgeous taupe/bronze undertone. I've also tried spray tanning & while I loved the results, they usually last 4-7 days only. Any suggestions would really help! Thanks so much:)

A couple nights ago, a friend of my ex and i, (my ex and i have been friends since we broke up), were at a party and we were watching a movie. I sat on this small recliner ( had barely enough room for two people, and she asked if it was alright to lay down with me. Now i didnt lie down with her, she just laid down with her legs on my lap. Well she had a little blanket but she could have been completely covered, but she kept her legs out, (this could be a hint) but she was also wearing short shorts. Well i notice that a while after the movie started that we both did one thing. I put my hand on her leg. She started moving her legs closer to my "waist area" and was sorta rubbing, but that might have been my imagination. So is she just being flirty or is she interested in me. Belly Button Piercing & Sunless Tanner?

I've recently started using a self-tanning bronzer lotion. I have had my belly button pierced twice before, and I want to get it done again. But I was wondering...would the sunless tanner cause infection to the area? I would be extremely careful when applying the tanner so as not to rub it over the piercing or anything like that.

I tan very well but I have recently been getting really paranoid about photo aging so I want to pick a method of sunless tanning. I've been reading up on this melanotan stuff that I recently heard about but I am a little scared to use it.... I have also considered spray tanning at home but I don't know the first thing about spray tanning bc I've never done it and I'm scared I would mess up and look dumb for a week. My son wont get help for his addiction?

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. I myself am an addict. I took so long to tell my parents about it. I'm not sure if you can take your son into detox at a hospital that has a rehab connected to it or not but it'll take time. Like the person above said, when a family member is sick in their addiction, the whole family becomes sick. It might get to the point where you have to wait until he realizes his life is becoming very unmanageable. As for you, you could help yourself out by going to a substance abuse councilor. My parents do this so that they can understand drug addiction and be able to talk about it to someone who's got a profession in the field. I hope this helps.

Why are my guinea pigs so shy when they are out of their cage?

i know its good to give them time out of their cage but everytime i put them on the ground to run around, their so scared, i put tunnels on the ground and blankets and they straight away hide under, they dont do this when they are in their cage, when they are on the floor they run in my lap or up my sleeve they look more scared than having fun, is it bad if don't give them floor time? i still let them on my bed and run around and they are fine with that, every second day i let them outside in their hutch and they are fine, its only when they are on carpet or tiles in my house, why are they so scared of everything else but their hutch cage & my bed?

Trying to find a good sunless tanner?

I'm trying to quit indoor tanning, and even though I really like the Mystic tans, they're too expensive and smell raunchy... I'm looking for any suggestions for products that you've tried and really liked... Something not greasy, not streaky, not orange, and doesn't reek... I tried Jergen's natural glow and hated it - didn't show enough and it smelled horrible and felt gross on my skin. Currently, I'm using Hawaiian Tropic's Self-Tanning Creme in Medium... This definitely happened to me, but if you look at people who use tanning beds their skin is orange which is a progression of yellow. No one turns straight-up brown immediately, especially after a couple of uses, and they usually never do unless this is their natural skin pigment. Many people with white and olive skin pigments turn yellow before becoming tan, and this CAN turn into brown, but usually progresses to a more orange color.

15 or 17 inch MacBook pro?

I need something to type, and teach classes as a high school student teaching programming. I will also be using it to teach a 3d design and compositing class (yes, my school need funding :) ) I want a mobile workstation. I was leaning towards the 15 inch but it just doesn't have a high enough resolution. Now I want the 17 inch, but how much bulkier would it be? Would it fit on my lap comfortably? Would it be considerably hotter? This would be my first Mac and I need power. It would be specced to about the $4000 ish price range.
