Tanning bed turning SKIN yellow?

This definitely happened to me, but if you look at people who use tanning beds their skin is orange which is a progression of yellow. No one turns straight-up brown immediately, especially after a couple of uses, and they usually never do unless this is their natural skin pigment. Many people with white and olive skin pigments turn yellow before becoming tan, and this CAN turn into brown, but usually progresses to a more orange color.
